REBECCA MINKOFF

Last night I was able to attend the Rebecca Minkoff show at Saks Fifth Avenue. Not only did I get to attend the show, but I got to meet Rebecca, sit front row and wear one of her dresses for the night! I had so much fun. It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The runway was set up through out the store. It was pretty cool. After the show was over, Rebecca stayed to sign handbags for everyone. She is so friendly and down to earth. Plus she was able to deal with all of the crazy going on and be 6 months pregnant at the same time. I have never owned a Rebecca Minkoff handbag but I thought, what better opportunity to buy one then now?  After all, I need a bag to go with my new Rebecca Minkoff dress. Speaking of which, I wore the Joshua dress on the TV segment, and last night I wore the Cielo dress. Things were so busy for the Rebecca Minkoff team that they were not able to get me a dress before the show, but now I get to pick which ever one I want and they are going to send it to me!
Here are some photos from the night. I hope you enjoy looking through them. Thanks so much to Alive Magazine for this amazing opportunity!
Drinks and popcorn before the show...don't mind if I do! The Hive

SPRING INTO FASHION

Last night at the St. Louis Galleria, the first show of Spring Fashion Week was held. The runway models modeled from local stores inside the mall. Places like Anthropologie, Fossil and BeBe. This was the first time I have ever sat front row at a Fashion Show and I must admit it felt pretty cool to have my name on a front row chair. I took a ton of photos but they all came out extremely blurry! It wasn't just me though, lots of the bloggers around me were having trouble too and they had cameras with them. I was just using my phone. I found a link on the Alive Magazine page this morning that has much better photos.
Click here to check them out!

Here is a rundown of the Show.
ATTENDANCE: 312
FUNDS RAISED: $3,646
BENEFICIARY: Friends of Wings
PARTICIPATING STORES
In show order.
Fossil
Francesca's Closet
True Religion
White house Black Market
Banana Republic
Bebe
Tommy Bahama
Anthropologie

One of my favorite trends from the show was mixing prints. I must admit I don't feel like this is my strong point but I think it can be easier than it looks. A trick I have found is that you start with a common color within the two prints. I am so glad Alive magazine was able to get this shot because it was one of my favorite looks. All of the clothing from this look came from Francesca's so it's very affordable. An of course each look was polished off with a bold lip, especially with an orange tint.

Tonight is the big night for me with the Rebecca Minkoff Show. It is at Saks 5th Avenue at Frontenac. I am so excited to meet her and her crew!! Unfortunately the show tonight is sold out, but there are still tickets available for the Show on Friday at Union Station featuring Viktor Luna, Skif International, Novis and Harbison. Order your tickets here!

This is a peak at what I wore last night. I love the print of this dress and the midi length is new for me. I can't wait to wear it in summer with a great tan and bright accessories! I need that Mexican vacation...

VIP BLOGGER LOUNGE

Last night was the VIP Blogger Lounge at Scape in the Central West End. It was so fun to meet all of the different companies, but the cooler part is that most of them were local. After I can home last night I realized that I took like no pictures. My hand were so full of goodies and a goody bag that it made it difficult. I promise for the other Fashion Week events I will be better.

So how the night went was you just walked around and spoke to different brands and you had the opportunity to shop their shops and many offered special discounts so that was fun.
I purchased these two necklaces below from Heather at Belle Style. I loved her concept for her designs. Everything had meaning to her.  Her materials are all very earthy. From recycled wood to turquoise to deer hide.  She was a huge sweetheart too. Come to find out she went to High School with my older sister. Such a small world. You never know who you are going to meet!
Here is her website if you want to check her  jewelry out.

This is the only photo I have of my outfit. :( I still haven't mastered selfies or mirror shots. I wore a really cute black jumpsuit from TOBI and I paired it with a faux leather jacket. Similar to this from Forever 21.

When I got home I went through the goodie bag we all got and no wonder it was so heavy, there was a bottle of vodka inside! Pumpkin Pie flavored to be exact. I have never tried that flavor before but it sounds pretty delicious. There were also lots of coupon codes and other small little treats.

The Rebecca Minkoff show was sold out but they released about 100 more tickets so if you would like to attend that show or any other events, you can find the schedule here!
