RUTH'S CHRIS

I am sure many of you have heard of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. They are very well known for the incredibly hot plates they serve their steaks on. Well they still have really hot plates and really great steaks, but they have a new Happy Hour Prix Fixe menu that I was invited to try out. It is called the "Sizzle, Swizzle & Swirl Menu".  You get a salad, entree, side item and dessert duo all for $39.99. I wanted to make this a two part post, so the first part will be about the dinner and the second part will be about my outfit. So check back tomorrow for my outfit details! Let's begin!!
Let me just start by saying that everything we had from start to finish was delicious. It was especially fun because I was able to bring my husband along, so we were able to turn it into a little date night. I know my blog is the last thing on his mind, especially since school has been pretty intense lately, but he could not turn down a free steak dinner. What man in their right mind would?
Before you eat you must have a cocktail, right? I think so. I ordered their ginger mojito. So good! I am a sucker for a drink with ginger. It was so refreshing! The meal started with a gorgeous salad. Salads are one of my favorite things to eat, but I hate making them at home, so when a restaurant has a yummy one, I get very excited. Has anyone else ever noticed that steak places have the best ranch dressing? Well this was no exception. And the bacon pieces on top didn't hurt either. Second came the entree. Well you don't just get one entree, you get three! A steak topped with a crab cake, a piece of roast chicken and a grilled tomato. Then you get your choice of two sides, either mashed potatoes or creamed spinach. We were able to try both sides and they were both great. You really can't go wrong with this menu. After I struggled to finish the entree course, dessert came. I am a total sweets girl and I love me some dessert and of course like everything else, it was amazing. We got a small cheesecake and a vanilla pudding type dish with fresh berries. I don't usually eat this much, but everything was so good that I couldn't stop and I wanted to try everything. Needless to say that by the end of the meal I was stuffed! My husband was in the same boat, but he told me I could invite him to things like these anytime I wanted! We had a great time and everything really was delicious. Here is their website if you would like to find a restaurant near you! Also, go to Alive Magazine for a chance to win this Prix Fixe dinner for four!
Thank you so much to Ruth's Chris for making this post possible!
