CROCHET MAXI

Another day, another dress. Dresses are pretty much my go-to year round but especially in Summer. It's just too hot for jeans! This dress was especially exciting for me because it is loooong. I am 5'8'' and it is so hard to find long maxi dresses. I'm really picky about length too, they have to touch the ground or I fell they just don't look right on me. This dress comes in a few other colors but it just recently went on sale so there may not be many left. It's a pretty simple look, but that's what I love.

Oh and my little man Jackson would not leave my side while we took the pictures so I had to include him in a few... ;)

COUNTRY ROAD

I have said before that I am from a very small town in the country and sometimes I just love to bring out my roots. Every summer, parishes around us have their Church Picnics. It is such a part of summer to me. I wore this last Sunday to one. On our way there, we found this picture perfect country road. A gravel road with corn growing along side it...doesn't get more country than that! The picnics are usually very dusty and your feet can get so dirty, so I opted for booties and I think they looked pretty cute. And they were very practical. A practical shoe is usually not what I go for, but in this case it worked out.

EMBROIDERED

Everyone loves pastels in Spring. It's so nice to see color again after a season of lots of black. Don't get me wrong I love black, but it's so refreshing to see pops of color showing up again. Whether it's flowers blooming or more color in your wardrobe. It's just...ahhh so nice. I think my favorite color for Spring would have to be mint and I wanted a mint purse, so when I came across this one, I was sold. I think it is adorable inside and out. And it looks cute when you take the shoulder strap off. I didn't take a picture of it but the inside is black and white striped. The price was pretty reasonable too so you can't go wrong.

Now, on to the top. There are certain clothing details that I am immediately drawn to and embroidery is one of them. This is a made out of a light weight sweatshirt material so it's super comfortable. Another great find at Target! That place is a danger zone. You walk in there wanting one thing and end up with and entire cart...

WINK OF PINK

Something happened to me after Valentine's Day and for some reason I keep being drawn to pink. I have worn more pink I think in the last month than I have all year, but I'm not complaining, I do like pink. It probably is just me craving Spring so much. Especially after looking at this weekends weather forecast. It's a sad story...snow and rain :( I will just have to continue wearing bright colors and maybe the weather gods will hear my colorful cry. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
