PINKY PROMISE

It has been a few weeks since my last post, but I'm back at it again! My husband had been out of town for the last 6 weeks on and off and it was becoming harder for me to take pictures. So since he is now home, it will be much easier to keep up with content. And what better way to jump right back into it than with this bright little number. I was a little skeptical of it at first, but when I put it on with the blazer, I loved it. It's a fun way to transition into cooler weather. You still get the fun bright color of summer, but more coverage with the blazer for Fall. The blazer is very well made and has a really cute surprise cut out in the back. I hope you enjoy this look and are enjoying this beautiful weather!

PRETTY IN PINK

I love the way this cobalt blue just pops with bright pink. This is such a flattering dress. One of my all time favorite dresses is a long sleeve mini dress. I think the long sleeves balances out the amount of skin your showing. And these blue Ray-Bans are so great for summer. I love how the lenses fade too.
And how can I not mention these shoes?? I love the lace up trend, but like most things, I'm pretty picky on the ones that I would actually buy. These passed my test and I am so glad they did!

PLAYFUL PINK

This was my outfit for Easter Sunday. I looove this dress. The color is absolutely amazing. I instantly fell in love with the neckline, and pairing it with the white and blue accessories just made the pink even brighter. I wish it came in more colors because I would buy every single one! It makes me want to be on a beach in Mexico so bad. Fingers crossed for a trip to Cabo this summer!!
We took these photos before we went to brunch with my husbands family. After brunch we came home to have a late lunch with my mom's side of the family. The weather was beautiful. It was almost hot. I was really tempted to try and lay out and get some sun.
I posted last Friday that I was going to go and try on my dress I get to wear for the Fashion Show this Thursday. I love the pattern of the dress. And the colors are so soft and just feel like Spring. While I was there, I was asked if I wanted to model the dress for a TV segment on KSDK...ahh!! I have a little bit of an anxiety issue but how many times in your life do you get asked to model a beautiful designer dress on TV?! I am going to Union Station tomorrow to film the segment but I am not totally sure when it will air, but I will be sure to let you know. The dress I will be wearing tomorrow was a little big on me so the one I will wear to the Fashion Show will be the same dress but in different colors. They are both so beautiful though! I am a little nervous but so excited at the same time! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

PINK GINGHAM + EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT

I spoke about the brand Joe Fresh at JCPenney earlier in the week and this pink gingham top is another great find from the brand. This same top is twice the price at J Crew! I can't get enough of it and I also can't get enough of these shoes. They are one of those pieces of clothing that just make you happy when you wear them. Well at least they make me happy, maybe I'm the only one whose mood is changed by their clothes... Anyway, this outfit screams spring to me and it's still simple and casual.
So on to the exciting news. A few weeks back I posted on my Facebook page that I had purchased my ticket to the STL Spring Fashion week. I also entered my blog for a chance to be part of a VIP blogger lounge that will be happening two weeks before the Fashion Shows. To my surprise I was selected! But it gets even better. I received an email yesterday that I was also selected to be one of 4 VIP bloggers to sit front row at the Rebecca Minkoff Show!! Not only do I get to sit front row, but I get to be dressed by Rebecca and mingle with her and her crew. Oh, and I get to keep the clothes!! Ahh I'm so excited. Be sure to check back as I will be posting photos from all Fashion Week events! I am so thankful for Alive Magazine giving me this opportunity and I can not wait!

SEEING SPOTS

What girl doesn't love polka dots? Well I'm sure some don't but I think everyone secretly loves them. They are such a classic print. I bought this dress on sale and wanted some cute pink shoes and I found the perfect pair on Zara. I am pretty obsessed with these shoes. They are everything I wanted and more. The heel has a twist to it too so that steeled the deal, the adorable pink color didn't hurt either. I cant wait to wear them all Spring.  Apart from the shoes being a lovely shade of pink, I also would like to brag on my lipstick. My favorite brands are MAC and Too Faced at the moment. I love both formulas but for different reasons. MAC glides on so easy and has great staying power. Too Faced "La Creme" is what I am wearing below. Their formula is almost like a gloss mixed with a lipstick. I am wearing Marshmallow Bunny. It is also a great light pink. Love, love, love!

WINK OF PINK

Something happened to me after Valentine's Day and for some reason I keep being drawn to pink. I have worn more pink I think in the last month than I have all year, but I'm not complaining, I do like pink. It probably is just me craving Spring so much. Especially after looking at this weekends weather forecast. It's a sad story...snow and rain :( I will just have to continue wearing bright colors and maybe the weather gods will hear my colorful cry. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

TICKLED PINK

These photos were taken somewhere between Defiance and Augusta, MO. There was so much ice everywhere so please forgive the lack of  pictures. I'm so glad we decided to drive out there that day because there are so many trails that I didn't even know about and the scenery is beautiful. Next time we go, hopefully there will be less ice and more grass. After we were done with pictures we grabbed some lunch in Defiance, so check out where we went on my "PLACES" page. Have a wonderful weekend!

TRES CHIC

I am always taken back when my husband tells me he really likes something I am wearing because it always shocks me. For example, he absolutely loves this scarf. I love it too, so it's great that we agree but I just always find it interesting what he likes. It's always nice to get a compliment and I tell him he should go shopping with me so I have an insight on what he likes, but that is a pretty rare thing for him to do. He hates shopping. That we don't agree on. The scarf is amazing. It is so big and soft and it's on sale right now which makes anything even better. It really brings this outfit full circle. I highly recommend it!
As my sister and I were driving around downtown Augusta, we came across this blue and white door. It was pretty perfect for this look. You just never know what you are going to find when you explore new places.
