TASSELS & TURQUOISE

Love Love Love this look! Really, I just love wearing turquoise any chance I can. Something about turquoise with a light color just ahh makes me happy. I actually decided the weekend that I took these photos that it was going to be come my personal mission to have an amazing collection of turquoise jewelry by the time I am 60 so I have some work to do.
Anyway...hope you enjoy this look. I purchased this dress from Target but it is sold out online, but the identical dress is at Nordstrom! I have been really loving off the shoulder dresses and this one is no exception.  Happy Friday!

EASY BREEZY

Another great Kohl's find. If you can't tell by now I shop at Kohl's a lot. They really do have great pieces and I am still always pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love this dress. It is so soft and feminine. Great for those hot summer days.
PS I hope you don't get too sick of the backgrounds in my pictures. My husband graduates in December and until then we are still living with my parents and since we are out in the country, it's always easier to take pictures before my clothes get wrinkled after a 30 min car ride.

POMS AND COLOR

This look totally takes me back to our trip to Puerto Vallarta in March. My husband and I had the best time ever there and can not wait to go back. By far one of my favorite places in Mexico. While we were there we went to a town called Sayulita. It is a surfer/hippie town that had the best restaurants and street shops. One particular shop what I was drawn to had these poms on my bag. The lady who made them was as sweet as can be and had so many different types of these poms. If you are ever there, I highly recommend checking out her shop. I have kept them on my bag all summer and it's just a fun way to add some color to your look.

PRETTY IN PINK

I love the way this cobalt blue just pops with bright pink. This is such a flattering dress. One of my all time favorite dresses is a long sleeve mini dress. I think the long sleeves balances out the amount of skin your showing. And these blue Ray-Bans are so great for summer. I love how the lenses fade too.
And how can I not mention these shoes?? I love the lace up trend, but like most things, I'm pretty picky on the ones that I would actually buy. These passed my test and I am so glad they did!

CAMOUFLAGE

My favorite way to wear a camo print is with denim. These pants are the Rockstar fit from Old Navy. I love the zipper details on the side of the ankle and on the pockets. I wasn't able to find these in the camo print but they do have some similar in regular blue jeans, and you can never beat Old Navy's prices on jeans. I will link the similar pants below.
I know I spoke about the extensions I have been wearing and I have been playing around with them more and the more I use them the more I love them. I still want to get mine trimmed so they blend perfectly. I tried a messy braid with them in this post. The extensions are so long and thick that they make a great braid. There is more hair to work with so it's a little trickier but I think worth it in the end.
I have been asked by a couple of people about my hair and makeup and I wanted to ask if anyone would like for me to do a tutorial on either or both? Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see posts about my hair and makeup tips. Thanks for reading!

TO THE MAXI

So the last two weeks got away from me so I apologize for my lack of posts, but it feels so good to be back! While I have been away, I tried something that I have always wanted to...extensions. As you can tell my hair is much longer than what they were before. I am still getting used to putting them in but I think the color is a pretty perfect match to mine. They are clip-in's so they won't damage my hair and they definitely give you extra length and volume. I have to play around with them more but I certainly love them.
I love maxi dresses and you have heard me say before that length for me is always an issue. If I am going to buy a maxi dress, I want to to touch the floor and that is not an easy thing to find. But Target came to the rescue. This length is perfect for sandals. I love this look because it is quick and easy and would be great for traveling. Can you believe it's the last day of March?? Ahh time flies!

SPRING FORWARD

I am so excited that Spring is just around the corner. I have never been happier to loose an hour of sleep! The weather yesterday was amazing. I scooped up my sister and my husband and we spend the day going around different spots in St. Louis. We took these pictures by one of my favorite sculptures, the steel animals by The Zoo and Forest Park. I love when something is made out of the unexpected. My Dad owns a pipe and steel company, and my sister makes sculptures out of his steel, hers are not the same as these, but the similar materials hit close to home. Has anyone seen this sculpture in downtown Chicago? That's my sisters! She has a few other pieces throughout the city too, so check them out if your in the area.
I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we had!
